Not sure? Neither were Jim and Sandra Apps of SwimFit
Canine Hydrotherapy in Bovey Tracey, Devon. They bought one 'Large'
size Up Buoy life jacket and subsequently Jim emailed us:
"I don't know if you remember but you sold us a buoyancy aid at
Crufts. I agreed that we would test it and let you
know the results. We didn't think that it would take the heavy use of a
hydrotherapy pool.
"I am pleased to say that you were right and we were wrong!!
"The velcro does not get full of dog hair and closes properly every
time - in fact it is sometimes hard to undo! The straps are thick enough
not to slip loose. We can attach our poles to the back of the jacket
through the 'D' rings. The jacket does take the weight of the dog and gives
excellent support under the dog's body.
"Lastly, it will take the bashing
of hydrotherapy use - it certainly has for the last 6 weeks. It is far, far
better than the new type CrewSaver Petfloat and a bit better than the
old type CrewSaver. And all this for about two-thirds of the price!
"Thanks for persuading us to try this jacket. We will replace our
CrewSaver jackets with the Up Buoy as they wear out. We have your website
bookmarked!"
